The fourth country we went to was PRAGUE! Isabel and I took a 7-hour coach there, which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and arrived at the Czech Republic that afternoon! Finding our hostel was a bit of a trek, and when we go there reception was closed and we couldn't get in and spent 30 minutes trying to find a business that would let us use their phone, but once we finally made it into the hostel it was great! Our hostel was super cheap, as evident by the closed reception and box crate beds, but it had a pretty view and was full of cat posters! Prague is where all of my Bath friends met up with me, but they didn't get in until about 11PM so Isabel and I had some time to kill while waiting for them. We walked around Old Town Square for a while and found this amazing Czech restaurant for dinner! I ate this potato pancake thing and bread dumplings, and it was probably the best meal I had the entire trip (which is saying a lot seeing that all of the food was amazing!) We also got to see the city by night and see the castles and churches lit up like it was Disney World! My friends finally made it to the hostel that night, where I had to periodically lean out the window to see if they made it since reception was closed and we didn't have phones, but finally all of the Bath dudes were together on the Easter trip! The next day we woke up early to catch a walking tour, and it was really cool because we got to see the whole city, the tour guide was hilarious, and it was free! We saw the famous Astronomical Clock (one of the top ten biggest tourist letdowns in the world,) the Jewish Quarter (*fun fact, it survived WWII because Hitler wanted to turn it into a museum for the extinct group of Jews,) lots of old buildings and churches, and the famous bridge! It was really nice because we learned a lot about the history of the town and got an idea of what we should go back to see! We spent the rest of the day eating Chimney Bread and chilling at the castle! Getting to the castle was a hike, but it was so pretty and we got to spend some time sitting on the ledge, overlooking the city and hanging out! Prague was one of my favorite cities, everybody should go!
