BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!
I've had such an amazing time this past week and such a cool birthday!
Thursday- I visited my friend Dean in Liverpool. We went to three museums, which was a lot for one day but full of cool artifacts and facts about The Beatles. We also walked around ALL OF LIVERPOOL and saw practically every building, statue, or other touristy thing. We tried to get into the reveal of the Liverpool football team's kit reveal, but that didn't work out so we ended up getting cake and tea!
Friday- I FINALLY GOT TO GO TO STONEHENGE! It is truly the Alamo of England, as in a tourist let-down, but I went with my Bath Buddies and it was my first English road trip so I had fun. It was such a beautiful day, blue skies, green grass, the whole shabang, and I'm really glad that I got to see it! Then later that night was the last exchange event of the year in the closest big town to bath... Bristol.
Saturday- I went to London with some of my camp friends! I met up with Isabel and her Mom, who is currently in England visiting Isabel since it is already her Easter break, and we went and got lunch! Then Isabel and I met up with Hailey and Alex and we walked by the Gherkin, Big Ben, and the Eye of London! We then went to this Martin Creed art exhibit that's showing in London. It had some cool art such as a thousand different broccoli prints and a piano that would sporadically slam all of it's parts down, but the coolest thing by far was the balloon room! It was a giant room filled to the brim with balloons that we got to run through! We spent half an hour in there and left with some crazy hair, but it was totally worth it! Later that night we met up with even more of our camp friends and got to hang out and eat grilled cheese sandwiches, seeing as it was National Grilled Cheese Day of course!
Sunday- We found even more camp people, witnessed the wildness of the London Marathon, and had a final meal at a vegetarian's worst nightmare... a place called Meat and Liquor. They had awesome fries and onion wings, so I was happy, and everybody else ate massive burgers so they were happy, plus we all got to talk about camp which is always cool! After lunch I left for Bath. After an hour of me being home some of the other girls who live in my building came over to my room and 'sneakily' stole the decorations that Aunt Carrie had bought me when she was here, and other then that I just studied and worked on some school assignments. Then at midnight... I TURNED 21!!! (p.s. thanks for all of the awesome birthday gifts!!!!!)
Monday- My birthday started off early with class and an exam, but after the exam I had Cake at the Lake with some of the other exchange students. There was chocolate cake, a sunny day, the campus lake, and lots of friends! Then my friends threw me a surprise party!!! My birthday ROCKED!!!
This was also my last week of class! It was weird going to lecture for the last time, but exciting because it means that next week I start my Easter Break trip! I will be in Paris, Brussels, Mein, Prague, Vienna, then Budapest! We also have been able to celebrate the end of the semester with movie nights and laying out in the park!
Overall, Birthday weekend was AMAZING!??!??!!!????
