The last stop of our Easter Trip was in Budapest! It was amazing amazing amazing! Our bus from Vienna to Budapest was awful! It had no air conditioning, took twice as long as it was suppose to, and ended with us being dropped off at the closed subway where I had to pay for all of our taxis since no one had the foresight to get the correct currency except (luckily) for me! It can best be described with Ine's quote of "Julia, I have some terrible news... we are still in Vienna" (at the time we were suppose to be in Budapest) and the image of Sarah physically blocking the bus from leaving Ine and I behind at the gas station. It was terrible as it was happening, but now it is a funny story! The next day we spent the morning walking around looking at buildings! We found this amazing Georgian restaurant with a beautiful view where I got a spinach bread boat for lunch, and were able to watch the air show that was happening (though at first we didn't realize it was an air show and had a mini heart attack when we saw the first helicopter falling from the sky!!!) We caught a walking tour of Pest and got to see all of the famous buildings and learn some Hungarian history! We then caught the metro over to Buda and got to walk around the palace. The next day we woke up bright and early so that Ine and I could go to the Baths before we had to catch our plane back to England. We went to the Széchenyi Baths and it was so pretty! We swam in the pools, tanned for a bit, and just chilled. It was easily one of my favorite parts of the Easter Trip and was a great way to end the journey!
