On the fifth day of Easter the Bath Buddies went to see... Vienna in Austria! We rode the nicest bus in the world, equipped with movies and a coffee server, and made it to Vienna in no time! Our first move was to get an authentic Austrian meal, so we found this nice restaurant close to the hostel and dined the local way! I ate Spatzle, which was like amazing mac and cheese, and authentic Austrian bread! The next morning we went to the Schloss Schonbrunn Palace and gardens, where the emperors used to live. The garden was so pretty, the architecture so detailed, and it was full of history! We spent hours roaming the gardens and touring the palace, taking lots of pictures and posing as statues as we tried to avoid the rain. We then took the train back into town and explored a bit! We found a cool food market, saw a couple churches, and found this cheap, local stuffed pita place for lunch! The weather was bad that day so we were having trouble just walking around the town, so we ended up at the best ice cream store in Vienna' as we waited out the rain after lunch. Luckily for us it eventually stopped raining and we were able to see more of the old buildings and the canal that day. The next day we woke up and went on the search for bike rentals so as to do a bike tour! Our bike adventure started off poorly as we weren't able to find a bike lane for the first half hour and instead had to dodge cars in the street as all 8 of us tried to stay together and not get separated by the lights. Finally, and luckily, we found a bike lane though and everything fell together. We biked for a couple of hours and ended up at the river! It was a sunny day, the water was blue, and we found a restaurant that we chilled at for a while as we enjoyed the view! We ended our day in Vienna by finding some of their famous apple strudel, and then headed off to our next bus!
