Look who made it to England... Carolyn! I found her in London and we got to spend the weekend there! Seeing as I had already spent a couple days in London I let her make all the sightseeing decisions, and boy did we see a lot of the city! Our hostel was in the Victorian area, so we literally saw Buckingham Palace every day. We were there for the changing of the guards, but sadly it was not all it was cracked up to be. However, that wasn't the only thing we saw all weekend. We saw that palace, the royal guards house, Big Ben, the House of Parliament, Tower Bridge, the Globe Theater, Kennsington Palace and the surrounding gardens and much more! Carolyn also ate her first British fish and chips and had her first English breakfast, beans and all. We got to see the play Twelve Angry Men, which was awesome if you have never seen it.
Today we are back in Bath, which I am pretty sure Carolyn is happy about seeing as she wasn't very keen on sharing a room with strangers in the hostel (though everybody there was friendly!) She started her Bath experience off right by drinking tea and eating a bun at the Sally Lunn Tea House, so all in all I would say her first days here were awesome!
